While Northwest's win against South Gallia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mohawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rebels on Thursday. The Mohawks haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Northwest was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Bri Jones was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and two aces.

Jones wasn't the only good server: Northwest was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They served one more ace than South Gallia's also-impressive total of 11.

Northwest now has a winning record of 7-6. As for South Gallia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Northwest will welcome Peebles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Gallia, they will head out to challenge Clay at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
