Vanguard College Prep won against Tioga  last Thursday with 79  points and they decided to stick to that  point total again  on Tuesday. The Vanguard College Prep Lions really took it to the Humphreys Able Charter Legacy for the full four quarters, racking up  a  79-41 victory. With the Lions ahead  47-23 at the half, the  contest was all but over already.

Vanguard College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nathan Muriithi, who  dropped  a double-double on 25 points and 14  rebounds. Muriithi's evening made it three games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mathew Prak, who  went 7 of 12  on his way to 21  points.
 Vanguard College Prep was working as a unit and  finished the game with 24  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Several Legacy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Joshua Thompson, who  posted 12 points.  Noah Watson was another key player,  putting up ten  points.
The  victory was  the fifth in a row for Vanguard College Prep, bringing their record for this year to 10-10. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to  three-point shooting accuracy: their  three-point shooting accuracy was 32.6% in those games and 28% outside of them. As for Humphreys Able Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
 A feisty cat fight is on tap when  the Vanguard College Prep Lions  take on   the Don Pedro Panthers at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Don Pedro: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Vanguard College Prep has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Humphreys Able Charter, they will head out to  square off against Delta Charter  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
