The Cliffside Park Raiders will square off against the Fort Lee Bridgemen at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Cliffside Park turned things around against Wood-Ridge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Blue Devils. Considering the Raiders have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Breidy Marine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has become a key player for Cliffside Park: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-12 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nicolas Ortiz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Victor Freytas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fort Lee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Waldwick 4-2.
Fort Lee also got a great performance from Bradley Li as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Li has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Marcus Lee was excellent, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Stephan Kim was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Fort Lee's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Cliffside Park, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cliffside Park has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fort Lee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Cliffside Park came up short against Fort Lee in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 8-5. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
