Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cy Christensen and Deacon Delgado Lead Clearview to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bay, Clearview was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Midview Middies by a score of 58-51.

Clearview was led to victory by Deacon Delgado and Cy Christensen. Delgado dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Christensen went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. With that strong performance, Delgado is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Chapman, who posted four points.

When it comes to explaining why Midview lost, don't look at Luke Jockel. Despite the final result, he put up 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Cody Martin was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight assists and five boards.

Clearview's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Midview, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearview will face off against Open Door Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season. As for Midview, they will venture away from home to challenge Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Midview also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 53 points per game.
