Make it nine blowout wins for the Southern Wake Academy Lions this season. They blew past Woods Charter, posting a 64-21 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Southern Wake Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Southern Wake Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Seung Surmons out in front who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Crudup, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Southern Wake Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Woods Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Southern Wake Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Triangle Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Triangle Math & Science will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 650th, while Southern Wake Academy is ranked 183rd). As for Woods Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge River Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
