The West Pioneers posted their biggest victory since December 16, 2023 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-37 victory over North at home. With that victory, West brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
West had a senior duo take command as Semaj James scored 17 points along with three steals and Gavyn Phillips scored 16 points along with three steals. James is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Rob Basks Jr, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds.
West's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for North, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
West will head out on the road to square off against Southeast at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Northwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Tuesday.
