After a string of five wins, the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were outmatched by Rocky Mount Academy on the road and fell 74-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harrells Christian Academy in their matchups with Rocky Mount Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Taylor Carmichael was her usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with six rebounds for Rocky Mount Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carmichael has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Berkeley Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Harrells Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.
Harrells Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rocky Mount Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
