The Caledonia Fighting Scots won the last time they faced the Jenison Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Caledonia walked away with a 57-44 victory over Jenison. Given Caledonia's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Jenison is ranked 492nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Jaiden Googins, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyan Vanderwoude, who scored 12 points.
Caledonia's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Jenison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caledonia will take on Grand Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jenison, they will head out on the road to face off against West Ottawa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
