The Union City Indians will head out to square off against the Northeastern Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Union City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
While Union City's victory against South Adams wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Starfires 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since June 1, 2024.

Jayson Connor
| 04/28/25 @ South Adams | 4 |
| 05/24/24 vs Blue River Valley | 3 |
| 05/01/24 @ Anderson Prep Academy | 3 |
| 04/15/24 @ Wes-Del | 3 |
| 04/08/25 vs Cowan | 2 |
The team relied heavily on Jayson Connor, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Northeastern beat Cowan 6-1 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
Logan White was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Waters, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Union City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Northeastern, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Union City has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northeastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Union City skirted past Northeastern 2-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
