The Christ School Greenies will stay at home for another game and welcome the South Charlotte T Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Christ School at home against Asheville School (Independent) as the team secured a 84-45 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-22.
Zymicah Wilkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Lleyton Thomas-Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, South Charlotte T entered their tilt with Jackson Day with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. South Charlotte T claimed a resounding 78-50 win over Jackson Day at home. Given South Charlotte T's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Jackson Day is ranked 505th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Christ School pushed their record up to 22-5 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for South Charlotte T, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Christ School against South Charlotte T in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 71-35 victory. With Christ School ahead 35-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.
