Talladega County Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Ragland Purple Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Talladega County Central's game was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Donoho and snuck past 23-21.
Meanwhile, Ragland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past Winterboro 46-26. The result was nothing new for Ragland, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
A'ron Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 256 yards on only 12 carries. Lee's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Ragland also got help from Ethan Courtney who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
Ragland's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Brett Sisson and his two sacks.
Talladega County Central's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Ragland, their victory on Thursday bumped their record up to 5-3.
Talladega County Central took a serious blow against Ragland in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 50-0. Can Talladega County Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
