Little Falls had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They managed a 48-44 victory over the Utica Academy of Science Atoms. For the Mounties, this counts as revenge for the 62-41 win the Atoms walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Utica Academy of Science's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Akol Machteng, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. Machteng is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Amari Berkley, who went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points.

Little Falls pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Utica Academy of Science, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
