Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Has No Trouble Against Crossroads Christian

While Westminster Christian put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Crossroads Christian. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the CRU. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Westminster Christian got a massive performance out of Luke Bartolome, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Bartolome has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Vaagen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Westminster Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Westminster Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Crossroads Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Westminster Christian will head out to face off against Walther Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Broncos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.47 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. Crossroads Christian has already played their next contest (against Schaumburg Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
