Inland Valley recap Nov. 7, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to JW North, who took down 204th ranked Arlington, 28-7. Denzel Foster ran for 212 yards and caught four passes for 50 yards in the win.
The Huskies moved up to 193 from 235 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Inland Valley. JW North climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Lions 28-7.
Rashad Stevenson was the best wideout in the league this week as Valley View topped Canyon Springs. Stevenson racked up four receptions for 71 yards. Marlon Archer helped Valley View's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
Joseph Garcia put up the best numbers through the air as Mark Paredes' team defeated Arlington. He finished with a total of 14 completions for 181 yards and one touchdown. Garcia's favorite target this week was Marcus Baugh, who caught three passes for 68 yards.
JW North's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Garcia has thrown for 1480 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Baugh has 34 catches for 576 yards. Foster leads the league in rushing with 1427 yards.
Rancho Verde extended the longest winning streak in Inland Valley this week by beating Vista del Lago, 42-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
