The Homestead Highlanders will face off against the Menomonee Falls Phoenix at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Homestead took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Whitefish Bay. Considering the Highlanders have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklyn Wirth was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Stella Leaman was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Shea Leopold was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Homestead kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitefish Bay only managed four.
Meanwhile, while Menomonee Falls put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Wauwatosa West. The Phoenix blew past the Trojans 21-0. With that victory, the Phoenix brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Like Homestead, Menomonee Falls also got a great game from a two-way player: Ally Bichler. On the mound, Bichler struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Natalie Jarrett pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Bichler went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Jarrett went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Bichler has hit this season.
In other batting news, Alex Selear and Hailey Meinholz did most of the damage at the plate: Selear got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double, while Meinholz got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Wagoner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Menomonee Falls has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Homestead, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Homestead hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .319. However, it's not like Menomonee Falls struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
