The North White Vikings suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Thursday. They were outmatched by Twin Lakes at home and fell 65-22. North White has not had much luck with Twin Lakes recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Autumn Reif and Sable George certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Reif dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while George scored five points along with two steals. That was a full 54.5% of North White's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Leading Twin Lakes to victory were Olivia Nickerson and Addie Bowsman. Nickerson scored 20 points along with six assists and four steals, while Bowsman dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Oliver, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
North White's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Twin Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
North White will head out on the road to square off against DeMotte Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DeMotte Christian is on a four-game streak of home losses, North White an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Twin Lakes will take on Valparaiso at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valparaiso is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
