The Queen City Bulldogs lost against the Redwater Dragons on January 2nd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Queen City falling 59-45. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Redwater found their leader in underclassman Tyris Crowell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Crowell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marquez Jones, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Queen City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Redwater, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.
Queen City will be playing at home against De Kalb at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. De Kalb is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Redwater, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Boston at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th.
