Baseball Recap: First Baptist School Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

While First Baptist School put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Palmetto Christian Academy. The First Baptist School Hurricanes were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over Palmetto Christian Academy. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won three contests by 14 runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for First Baptist School, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, First Baptist School will be playing in front of their home fans against Lowcountry Leadership at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lowcountry Leadership will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they will take on Northwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palmetto Christian Academy has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
