Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Chesterton walked away with it. They blew past the Valparaiso Vikings 3-0 on Saturday. The  win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on 17 straight.
 Luca Bombacino paced Chesterton's offense, picking up 17 kills. Bombacino got some help from  Abigail Parrish and her 21 assists. Parrish and  Bombacino didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.
 Despite the loss, Valparaiso still got an impressive performance from   Lily Simpson, who  had 13  digs and one assist. Simpson has been hot for a while, having  posted 12 or more  digs the last ten times she's  played.
Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 29-3. As for Valparaiso, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-15 record  this season.
 Chesterton has already played their next match,  a  3-0  win against Portage on the 18th. Valparaiso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
