String Theory are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Northeast Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on December 19th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
String Theory struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Thursday (George Washington was 20% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. String Theory took a hard 71-56 fall against George Washington. While losing is never fun, String Theory can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while George Washington is ranked 34th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justus Robertson, who scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Jason Pezzetti, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Northeast entered their tilt with Simon Gratz with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Northeast managed a 69-64 win over Simon Gratz on Thursday.
String Theory's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Northeast, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
String Theory came up short against Northeast in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 51-46. Can String Theory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
