After flying high against the Lincoln Lynx last Saturday, The Ballard Beavers came back down to earth. Ballard was outmatched by Arlington on the road and fell 54-13. While losing is never fun, Ballard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Arlington is ranked first).
Despite the loss, Ballard still got an impressive performance from John henry Boxwell, who rushed for 146 yards while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Joe Farley, who threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns.
Ballard has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Arlington, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Ballard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Arlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgeline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeline is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
