There's no place like home for the Neuse Charter Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 69-47 margin over Rosewood. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Neuse Charter has managed all season.
Neuse Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayvin Bradley out in front who scored 33 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Bradley has scored at least a third of Neuse Charter's points. Jayden Atkinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Neuse Charter's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-15. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Rosewood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Neuse Charter will head out on the road to challenge Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rosewood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Duplin at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully North Duplin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
