The Innovation Bulls are taking a road trip to square off against the Ocoee Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ocoee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Innovation, who comes in off a win.
Innovation gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against St. Cloud as they made off with a 12-4 win.
Jometh Morales tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Tyler Nunez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Andres Segura, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Innovation lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ocoee unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Foundation Academy, falling 15-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since February 25th.
Ocoee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Otis, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Innovation is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Ocoee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
Innovation's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Bulls have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Ocoee, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Innovation continue to outrun the ball?
