After both having extra time off, the Vista PEAK Prep Bison and the Grandview Wolves will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Vista PEAK Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Vista PEAK Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down DSST: Montview 71-54 two weeks ago. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bison with their most commanding win of the season.

Vista PEAK Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Noah Adkins, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to five assists and three steals, and Mitchell Oliver, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven boards gave Oliver a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marquilos Mata, who posted ten points.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Vista PEAK Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Grandview came up short against Castle View last Saturday and fell 64-56.
Vista PEAK Prep will need focus on slowing down Cole Holtman, one of several Grandview players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 of 17 on his way to 17 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Sevy, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points.
Vista PEAK Prep's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's matchup: Vista PEAK Prep has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.5% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Grandview, though, as they've only made 28.7% of their three-pointers this season. Given Vista PEAK Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Grandview will need to find a way to close that gap.
Vista PEAK Prep came up short against Grandview in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, falling 46-33. Can Vista PEAK Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
