Rosewood entered their tilt with North Duplin with eight consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with nine. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-5  victory over the North Duplin Rebels  on Thursday.   Jose Vega was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Vega has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. Vega was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Anderson Clucas was  excellent,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-3.  Cam Medlin was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 On North Duplin's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Hunt Pate, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Brady Byrd, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Rosewood pushed their record up to 17-5 with that  win, which was their 24th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for North Duplin, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
 As of now, neither Rosewood nor North Duplin have any future games scheduled.
