The Arcadia Redskins will square off against the Lakota Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arcadia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Arcadia had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pandora-Gilboa on Wednesday. The Redskins blew past the Rockets 12-2. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Alanna Tucker made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Arcadia got a massive performance out of Averie Smarr, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Addy Colman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Arcadia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pandora-Gilboa only managed three hits.
Meanwhile, Lakota posted their closest victory since May 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Van Buren 4-3.
Emma Jurovcik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chevelle Rubel, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophia Bomer, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lakota now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Arcadia, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arcadia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Lakota struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arcadia beat Lakota 9-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
