Even though the Geffen Academy Bruins have not done well against the Vistamar Vikings recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Geffen Academy came out on top against Vistamar by a score of 54-45. The win made it back-to-back wins for Geffen Academy.
Despite the loss, Vistamar still got an impressive performance from Luke Lagao, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Geffen Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Vistamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
Geffen Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rolling Hills Prep at 4:30 p.m. Rolling Hills Prep is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Vistamar, they will challenge New Roads at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
