The North Callaway Thunderbirds had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They took down Wellsville-Middletown 64-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Callaway also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Riley Blevins, who shot 5-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Lakyn Hartley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
North Callaway pushed their record up to 13-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Wellsville-Middletown, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
North Callaway will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Oakleigh Hill and Blevins. As for Wellsville-Middletown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
