On Tuesday, Galena faced Bishop Manogue in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Galena Grizzlies snuck past the Bishop Manogue Miners with a 67-61 victory. The Grizzlies' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Galena can attribute much of their success to Anthony Martin, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Imse, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Galena smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Bishop Manogue's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamahl Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, Jackson is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Rowe, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Galena now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bishop Manogue, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Galena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-64 defeat against North Valleys on the 11th. As for Bishop Manogue, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-51 loss against Fernley on the 12th.
