The West Central Trojans will square off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Caston a 10-0 shutout. The Trojans have beaten the Comets the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Comets has come to flipping the script.
Jalie Glasford was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Kailee Bishop was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Mellon, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tri-County came tearing into Monday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 17-4 victory. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by exactly 13 runs.
Like West Central, Tri-County also got a great game from a two-way player: Grace Luck. She pitched five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Luck was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madilyn Nevitt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Jayden Martin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Tri-County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.
Tri-County's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for West Central, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
