The Roosevelt Roughriders are taking a road trip to  square off against the Woodson Warriors  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
Roosevelt is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of District of Columbia's top teams: Eastern, who was ranked fourth  at the time (Roosevelt was ranked ninth). The Roughriders fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of  16-13 on Saturday. While the Roughriders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Ramblers  7-0 in the first  quarter.
Although Roosevelt took the loss, they still got scores from  Jamal Gilmore and  Gabriel Hudgens.
 Even if they lost, Roosevelt's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks.  Isaiah Mcvea was especially locked on to Eastern's QB and sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Ramblers' side was  Delante White, who picked up  a  sack and made ten total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Woodson was able to grind out a solid  win over Ballou last Saturday, taking the game  24-14.
 Roosevelt better keep an eye on  Amar'E Leonard. He was instrumental in Woodson's win, throwing for 250 yards and two  TDs while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 46 yards.
 This is the second loss in a row for Roosevelt and  nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Woodson, their record now sits at 2-3.
 Roosevelt couldn't quite get it done against Woodson in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024 as they fell  22-15. Thankfully for the Roughriders,  Allan Alston (who rushed for 125 yards and one  score on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
