On Friday, the Shenandoah Raiders were fully in charge, breezing past the South Decatur Cougars 53-22 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Despite the loss, South Decatur still got an impressive performance from Corbin Johnson, who rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 141.5 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Jackson-Ray, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Shenandoah's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for South Decatur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Shenandoah will welcome Lapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran up and down the field in their prior games. As for South Decatur, they will head out on the road to square off against Edinburgh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
