 Meanwhile, Etowah fell victim to Marietta and their airtight defense  two weeks ago. They were beaten by the Blue Devils 34-0. The  contest marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.
 Cherokee's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-2. As for Etowah, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Cherokee couldn't quite finish off Etowah in their previous matchup  back in August of 2023 and fell  28-26. Can Cherokee avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
