After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Middlesex finally came back down to earth  on Wednesday. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rappahannock Raiders. The  match was a  1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Middlesex couldn't quite close it out.
Their goal came courtesy  of  Grant Walden, who's now up to seven this season.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Middlesex  fell to 3-1. As for Rappahannock, they now  have a winning record of 2-1-1.
 Middlesex and Rappahannock will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  contests. The next time Middlesex sees the pitch they'll take on Northampton  at 7:00  p.m.  on April 7. As for Rappahannock, their break will end when they face West Point  at 7:00  p.m.  on April 7.
