Despite the loss, Franklin Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: Kadeem Martin scored 15 points along with 4 blocks. Martin scored a full 30.6% of Franklin Learning Center's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Keymir Hargrove, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Parkway Center City strolled past South Philadelphia with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 56-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkway Center City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Israel Mckinley, who scored 19 points along with 5 steals. The contest was Mckinley's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden McKnight, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
The losses dropped Franklin Learning Center to 0-2 and Nueva Esperanza to 1-1.
Franklin Learning Center came up short against Parkway Center City when the teams last played back in February, falling 65-61.
