Baseball Recap: Blacksher Wins Going Away Against Washington County

Blacksher made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Washington County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Blacksher put the hurt on Washington County with a sharp 8-2 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Blacksher, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Bailey was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bailey was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Jamison Coleman was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Blacksher: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter White, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

With the victory, Blacksher broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-10. As for Washington County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blacksher will venture away from home to challenge W.S. Neal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington County, they will head out to take on Sweet Water at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
