Make it 15 blowout wins for the Marionville Comets this season. They blew past Sarcoxie 61-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Marionville has posted since January 4th.
Marionville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Bright out in front who scored 16 points. Bright is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Murphy, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Marionville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Sarcoxie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Marionville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pierce City at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. Pierce City and Marionville are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Sarcoxie, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central at 7:30 p.m.
