The Alcester-Hudson Cubs will head out on the road to challenge the Freeman Flyers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Alcester-Hudson came up short against the Tornadoes and fell 62-50.
Meanwhile, Freeman made easy work of the Highlanders on Tuesday and carried off a 58-35 victory.
Rocky Ammann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with three steals and three blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Sawyer Wipf was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Alcester-Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Freeman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Alcester-Hudson came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flyers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 52-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alcester-Hudson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
