It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Uxbridge Spartans had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Oxford 48-13 at home. The victory was just business as usual for Uxbridge, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.
When it comes to explaining why Oxford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kellen Clarkson. Despite the final result, he threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns.
Uxbridge has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.78 points. As for Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Uxbridge's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Tyngsborough at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Tyngsborough is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Oxford, they will head out on the road to face off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
