Baseball Recap: Guthrie Has No Trouble Against Western Heights

Guthrie had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Western Heights Jets on Saturday as they made off with a 19-5 win. Considering the Bluejays have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Guthrie's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Western Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Guthrie will face off against rival Carl Albert at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bluejays 2.9, the Titans 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Western Heights is set to challenge their familiar foe Del City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
