If Spring Grove was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Southland on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fillmore Central Falcons on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in October of 2022.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Fillmore Central scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 22-25,  25-17.
 Loss or not, Spring Grove got some senior leadership from  Carlie Halverson and  Elle Berns.  Halverson  had 12  digs and two  aces, while  Berns  had ten  digs.
Spring Grove dropped their record down to 16-13 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Fillmore Central, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-6.
 Spring Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fillmore Central, they have already played their next contest,  a  3-0  win against Alden-Conger on the 30th.
