The Clay City Eels were the 48-47 winner over the White River Valley Wolverines when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Clay City took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of White River Valley on Monday.
Abigale Shearer and Megan Jackson certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Shearer scored 10 points, while Jackson scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Clay City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for White River Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Clay City will be playing at home against Riverton Parke at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Riverton Parke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday. As for White River Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Springs Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
