Lighthouse Private Christian Academy will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: West Florida Baptist Academy extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. Everything went the Conquerors' way against Atmore Christian as they made off with a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Riley Scheel made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Emery Burke and Aubrey Doyle did most of the damage at the plate: Burke went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Doyle went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave Burke a new career-high. Zoie Griffin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
West Florida Baptist Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Atmore Christian only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over L.E.A.D. Academy on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Stingrays' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Rylee L was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Leila Y, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Florida Baptist Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given West Florida Baptist Academy's sizable advantage in that area, the Stingrays will need to find a way to close that gap.
