Grant is 0-3 against Putnam City since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grant Generals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Putnam City Pirates at 5:30 p.m. Grant is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Grant lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on last Friday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Owasso at home and fell 74-20. While losing is never fun, Grant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while Owasso is ranked fourth).
Putnam City was handed a 22-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Ada on Saturday. Putnam City sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 win over Ada. The win was just what Putnam City needed coming off of a 58-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
Grant bumped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Putnam City, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
