The Terry Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Murrah 52-38. Given Terry's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Murrah is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Terry's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marleya Myers, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. Maleah Young was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Terry pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Murrah, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terry is on the road again on Friday and play against Northwest Rankin at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Murrah, they will take on Warren Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Warren Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
