Shoals hasn't had much luck against West Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jug Rox will head out to square off against the Senators at 5:30 p.m. Shoals has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Shoals is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 12-2 to Washington. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Jug Rox couldn't push the score so high this time.

Shoals saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abbi Rollins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Rollins has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. Hannah Cook also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, West Washington made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mitchell on Monday. The Senators' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bluejackets a 13-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Bluejackets: they've now won eight in a row.
Emery Haub was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Haub was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Meredith Deaton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adelle Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
West Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
West Washington's record is now 13-4. As for Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
Shoals suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to West Washington in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Can the Jug Rox avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
