The Wesson Cobras were the 44-43 winner over the Pisgah Dragons when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Wesson fell to Pisgah 48-42. Wesson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Pisgah to victory were Madysen Washington and Laylah Johnson. Washington scored 17 points along with five steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Washington's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Wesson has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. As for Pisgah, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
Wesson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Pisgah, they will head out on the road to face off against Sebastopol at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sebastopol will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
