When it comes to explaining why Yoakum lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Jayana Phillips. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Phillips hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Jayla Hessler was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Yoakum's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-14. As for Tidehaven, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season.
