Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 18 to 6 on the offensive boards, a fact the Lake Placid Dragons proved on Thursday. They strolled past Hardee with points to spare, taking the game 36-21. That's another feather in the cap for Lake Placid, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Antranique Felton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Alexandra Jackson and Jazlynn Jones certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Jackson scored seven points along with five steals, while Jones scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her.
Lake Placid's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hardee, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Placid won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Meade at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hardee won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against DeSoto County at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (DeSoto County: 24, Hardee: 29.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
