The Bothell Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Gig Harbor Tides at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bothell's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
Last Friday, Bothell strolled past Eastlake with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. The win was just what Bothell needed coming off of a 94-64 loss in their prior game.
Bothell found their leader in underclassman Jaylen Mclaughlin, who scored 28 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mclaughlin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Blake Skinner, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Gig Harbor earned a 44-32 victory over Peninsula on Wednesday. Given Gig Harbor's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Peninsula is ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bothell's record now sits at 5-10. Gig Harbor's record now sits at 10-2.
